Morning Star

Morning Star is a family run Native American performing group and has performed in 33 countries, Disneyland, Madison Square Garden and for the opening ceremonies of the Utah Winter Olympics. They have also toured Europe and the Middle East with the DOD entertainment branch of the USO to perform for our servicemen and women. Morning Star has been a part of the Springville Folkfest since the first year it began in 1986.

Morning Star began as a small group of performers in the 1980’s from the Lamanite Generation now called Living Legends at Brigham Young University.Morning star dances include Men’s traditional, Women’s traditional, Grass dance, Men’s Fancy War Dance, Women’s Fancy Shawl Dance, Jingle Dress Dance, Buffalo Dance, and Hoop Dance.
